Does anyone know of a tool that can check your rank by keyword on the major search engines?

    SEO No1
would be perfect except it only checks first 100 positions. My site is new so I want to see full results past 100.

This keyword tool is just fine:
    http://www.prsearch.biz/

It can check top 1000 sites in Google & Yahoo, top 500 sites in MSN.

The tool at prsearch.biz seems fine, but it said i didn't rank for keywords that i am ranking for. I don't know, maybe i didn't put my url in right or something.

As an alternative, which i actually like more, there's a tool called Rank Tracker, and the trial version is free. You download it and run it from your desktop, and it will check rankings for multiple keywords on multiple search engines and generate reports, etc. The limitation of hte trial version is that you can't save a history of your rankings, and you can't export them.

Anyway, the link for anyone interested is:

I use http://www.keywordenvy.com. You can check ranks on the homepage or with a free account you can graph your rank over time.

Keywordenvy looks like a great service. It looks like it's still in development, but it offers checking of multiple keywords at a time on multiple search engines, with graphic results and it promises to offer historical tracking.

@thenotself: How did you find out about it? Are you involved in developing it? Could you let us know anything more about it?

@mexicolarry I've been involved in developing it, although I don't want it to seem like I'm promoting my own service.. I really do use it for all of my sites and I think it's great.

If you have any questions let me know and I'll try to find out. They are hoping to launch next month, although if you request an invite I think they send it right away.

Thanks thenotself! You're providing useful and true information about the service, and i'm really glad you did.
I did get the invite right away and was able to create an account. Seems like a great service. Limitations for the free account are 15 keyword checks (i.e. 15 keywords on one search engine or 5 keywords on 3 search engines, etc) and only 1 site.

@mexicolarry I know KeywordEnvy would really like your feedback, so write them if you have any suggestions, or you feel the service is too limiting.

I think they have a video now of what the paid service ($9.95/month) looks like, and it's useful because it tells you how many searches you get on each keyword so you can compare rankings to searches. It will also let you set up conversion pages so you can see which conversions lead to signups and sales.

The free version should be good for many people though, since as you said you can monitor up to 15 keywords if you're just worrying about Google. After a few days you can see graphs of how you're moving through the SERPS, and it's good way to warn yourself of any problems.

@thenotself: I think the limits for the free account at KeywordEnvy are totally reasonable, and i'm really glad you let me know about it - it's really nice that it automatically checks the rankings for me, so i don't have to log in and tell it to check and wait for the results. And having the historical graph is great too! Totally great service!
