oh no, after reading this maybe i just open an account in the name YPN put on the check at the bank. seems faster and lot less headache.
Here's the latest. I emailed that same rep last night to let him know that my check arrived via FedEx and that I tracked the package to make sure. So..I get an email back today saying thanks for letting us know that the check is here but keep in mind that it takes 10 business days to re-issue a check, and to not expect my check to arrive for 2 to 3 weeks. Funny thing here is this same rep told me in an email that I should have my check back within 10 business days, and another rep on the phone said it would only take 48 hours to re-issue the check..so I'm getting conflicting information which I was afraid of. I just emailed the guy back to point on the conflicts in his own email so I'll let you know what he says. I'll keep everyone posted.
They are using these tactics to confuse you tremendously so that you will be confused for weeks and then when your check shows up finally and is wrong again you will think that it has only been a couple days. Hmmm what a tactic this is. Sounds like they dont know what they want to do or how they want to do it either.
i read about the horror stories with the yahoo checks being issued wrong and taking forever to get fixed my check came with my site name and i asked my bank if there was anything we could do they had me open another account as doing business as the name of my site now when yahoo checks come i can cash them either way i've had 2 come with my name on them and 3 come with the website name strange thing is i never changed any info in my account
Here's the latest email from yahoo... "Currently, our turnaround time for re-issuing Publisher Network checks is approximately 10 business days. We apologize if you were advised that it takes 48 hours to re-issue checks through this program. However, our systems are not set up to be able to re-issue checks in this quick of a time frame. Thank you for your patience in this matter. " I replied saying how frustrating it is to get conflicting information and that they should give correct information across all departments, phone reps and email reps. Anyway...looks like it'll be a few weeks, we'll see what happens.
I opened a DBA today at the bank. It was very easy and only took about 5 minutes. No credit check or Checksystems was even used. So I'm ready if YPN sends me another check in business name.
Ok..I received my new check from Yahoo on the 28th of this month. I sent the old check via FedEx on the 15th of this month, they got it on the 16th and the new check was printed and mailed on the 22nd. They corrected the payable information for this check, I'm curious to see if the changes will stick for future checks..time will tell.
