You guys are right. A little more sleep last night would have helped me spot that one. It is Overture. Which means it will cost people more when you click on the links.

Hmmm, don't they have to disclose that the search results are Yahoo sponsored sites? Is this against TOS?

It is time that someone created a search engine that can bring relevant results.

Why does everyone seem to want to do a search engine (or pretend to do one)?

Surely there is no money to be made out of serching, just the ads you hang around the outside - and it is going to be very hard to compete with the current top runners with this!

Such sites raise an interesting question: at what point will Google, Overture, Yahoo frequently review sites which are displaying their ads to make sure they are "content" sites? Scam sites are hurt advertisers as well as legitimate sites.

It is a pretty nice try to make money! Most people just place ads next to the results but this guy's brilliant! It's kind of like adding a Yahoo! Search to his site....

We're all in the game to make money, but not to take the P***. If you were an advertiser on Overture or Google etc you'd be pretty p''' off if your fees were getting increased or your investment wasted by worthless impressions, which is what most advertisers pay for and so called searches like this destroy. I work for a search facility with ethics, won't plug as it might be against the rules of this forum but look at my name ;) We don't take the mick, we don't take keywords, etc, but what we do is give EVERYONE a chance to be found. Rank 10 or 0 with us it makes little difference, if your site is relevant you will be seen. We shouldn't be patting this chap on the back for inginuity, if that was the case Cantufind wins hands down as you won't get much better results than ours no matter how hard you try.

Lets look after our common goal, sure its to make money, but its to make money without having lots of it taken off us by plonkers like this. This ain't a personal attack, I respect your view but I have mine too and you only know how much it hurts when you have been a victim of these gits.!
