Check out this little tool I made for keyword research.

I made it in excel. Basically I take the raw data from google adwords keyword tool to get the average searches per month for the keyword. I delete the advertising competition and last month's searches. Then I use another program I made to get the number of search results for the term. Once I get that I import it into excel and then I created a formula to divide the number of search results by the number of people searching for the term. The final number tells me how much competition there is relative to the number of searches. If I am going to seo for a site with a lot of compeition it will be for a good reason - lots of people searching for that term. Some of the data may be out dated due to the fluctuations in the google serp results pages.

I then figure I can use this data to create a website that is highly SEOed for that specific term. For example, I can register a domain with the keywords in it and do many other things to help seo for that specific keyword.
