By rubbing, you mean paying over a dollar per click? I see nothing impressive about any of those click thrus. This is adwords. If people aren't buying, then its just pissin' in the wind anyways. The high cost/click simply tells me that not enough keyword research has been done.
what are the keywords and text ad as well. Obviously these are extreme low volume keywords of which your probably the only advertiser. Try pulling this off for the keyword dating and let me see your results.
Why the hell would I pay 1.25/click if I wasnt profitable just to come show off? I dont think so. Its not quite dating but a market just as big. My $500 adspend on this yeilded $890 profit. What might even make you guys cringe more is the fact that I started this campaign at $5 max CPC...
I start $5 max CPC's all the time. The CPC amount does not disturb me at all, in fact most of my clients avg CPC is over $1 per click. The fact that you have a 15% CTR is what I am referring to. You can't always pull that off, especially for terms like dating.
I'm more concerned that the maximum bids are set to $1.25, and the average cost per click is over $2.00. The Quality Scores aren't bad, but I've managed far more successful campaigns than this... At the moment, I'm managing four campaigns with double-digit clickthrough rates. That's campaigns, not Adgroups. And they are for businesses advertising what they're doing, not just irrelevant keywords. But, as the others say, it's not the clickthrough rate that you need to worry about. Is $2 a click to appear second really the most profitable position for you? And why, if you have such good clickthrough rates, do you have $0.04 minimum bids? You may want to look at your landing page quality...
$1.25 cpc is low for some niches. I've gone as high as $8 per click and still made money. It's all relevant to the payout of the offer.
