Check out this classifieds web app I've been making over the past few weeks. It's all dynamic, from the categories to the classified ads, and I'll be posting it in the sites forum for sale within a week or so for $50. A CHEAP investment since you can advertise on it in many places and make the money back easily.

Feel free to let me know what you think, or bugs you find (still building it, not all links live), or post if you want to be notified when it's complete to buy a copy of the script, full access.

    Thanks guys!

I really like the look and feel. Very intuitive and functional.

My only concern as a potential buyer would be the categories. If I could add my own categories and what the limits are.

In particular, the categories are listed in the header, where there is limited space. I suppose putting the categories in the main body below the search box page would be ideal and intuitive.

    Good job!

Good color scheme. I think you need to add a logo for your site. I found that the very first row of the class fields left as empty and the value as 0$, just remove it.

Hey, I think this is really cool. I might want to showcase this on my website as one of my service offerings. I think it is a really cool application. There will be a lot of people who would want to start up on something like this.

As well a web developer and an advisor, I get a lot of people wanting to start their own business. I think this would be a great service offering for people who want to start their own business from home. It seems to be very legitimate application and easy to run.

    Great web app!

    Cheers,

@rob, Thanks for the input, and yes, I understand where you're coming from. I'm thinking either offer an expandable one on the right that doesn't take too much room by default, or possibly show a "View All Categories" in the header if theres more than ... say 12. However then the others wouldn't get as many views I guarantee. not sure... but 12 may not be enough, with subcats, i understand.

@2advance, can you please elaborate about the class fields thing? I'm not sure exactly what you mean by this.

@SiteBetter, thanks for the feedback, and I would be willing to sell you some sort of "reseller" license if you'd like... either for a bit more than the regular price, or maybe for a little commission on each sale you make. Shoot me a PM if you check this and are interested. It should be ready to fly within a few days.

I agree. I like the site. Clean, well laid out. Easy to navigate.

As with just about every other site, the challenge here would be getting people to participate and reach that "critical mass" for community driven or user generate content.

Let me know when you figure that out :)

Well, I figure it depends on what you do with it. You can either market it towards a small community... and in which case you can get community websites to link to it via some sort of exchange (advert'ing?), or just run ads in a paper about it, or just.... SEO it like none other, and people searching for "$town" classifieds will get to the site... you can put up a few personal things to hold some space at the start.

what you could also use it for is targeting a certain niche... such as it could be used to strictly sell cars... or like antiques or something, and in the admin area (still programming it), you could make all of the categories relating to antiques, and then SEO it for antiques and whatever.

I think with the proper moves, it could be very popular... especially since posting ads is free, and the revenue comes from the advertisements on the side and up top. I'd always be game for using a free classifieds site. It's the paid submission ones that frustrate me. I'm trying to spread info, and they want my money?

anyway, it should be done in 1-2 days. Gotta code the backend now, the frontend is basically done. Then I have to market it somehow, sell for like $50 per single license, or like $200 to resell it to other people for whatever you want... both licenses allow full access/modification. sounds fair.

I think it's a nice site with a good layout and color scheme. Looks very web2.0 and you should easily get your asking price for it. Good luck.
