I like the footer image and the header one too! But I think you went overboard on your usage of buttons, maybe simple text links would suffice.
I think you're right about the buttons, they look good on some browsers and not so good on others. I'll pobably minimize it to just the Home Navigation. Thanx for the input. No this is my site I wrote every line of code with plain old text editor. Blinding maybe, but where? Copperplate Gothic Light is among my favorites, it's all personal taste as long as it doesnt get too rediculous. And what would you have me use? Serif, San-Serif? Verdana is to boring for me.
as long as the fonts go...I think yours is fine, but I find Myriad Pro the easiest to read. Maybe see how it looks with myriad
It's rather ugly ;} maybe you should use one of many free beautiful wp themes available on the net (but you won't get any unique).
Wow, Pretty blunt, OK, well If u mean WP as in Wordpress, I already hav one of those, but thats a blog. I love my work. It may not suite everyone but it isnt ugly.
Wow, I have lots to say about this site, and I'm sorry, but not much of it is good. 1) Do you actually have a color scheme and a set palette that you are working from? Your colors are all over the place and it really is jarring to look at. 2) The header and footer have nothing in common and don't help to make the page seem complete and continuous. 3) Everything is gray. You have gray buttons on a grey background with a grey and black striping. 4) The text font is non-standard and has a variety of colors for no reason. 5) Every menu link is a button, when none of them need to be. 6) The text over the header would probably be better if it were part of the header image. 7) The header image also uses glaring contrating colors and takes forever to load, which makes me think it wasn't optimized. 8) You have blue text on the blue footer 9) The logos for Yahoo and Google are distorted 10) The content in the center is oddly arranged. Consider the content you really want to direct people to, and make that a very visible part of the homepage. In my professional opinion, you have a ton of work to do here, and if this intended to be more than your personal site, and you are going to try to make some money off it, you will be needing to do a lot of design work.
I would use some sort of "outline" around the white text in the header so that it stands out better...
For the people with professional criticism, thanx for the advice, I'll evaluate the info and decide what I want to do. As for the people who say it's ugly, that's a pretty vague statement. Doesn't help to be rude, lol!
