Need to work with the line height in the top menu and search field some better. For a complete boost please add some more graphics.

Look empty at the header. The text menu (white) and the green button, it hard to see the text.

    Anyway, nice layout.

I would definitely add some type of adsense block and a few more widgets.

I like simplicity and the design is decent, but somehow it looks a bit empty, like something is missing, a bit generic.

for me it's seems OK if it's not 100% ready. You can change the color of header ( it's too close to the background color ) , and also - put footer - you have to use this space.

    Keep on!

Excellent job, so great to see a site that is simple and straightforward -- and with Validated Markup and CSS! Congratulations on producing an interoperable Web page!

Very simplistic..but works, with a few changes.

Mostly all have been mentioned..I definately think the search box needs to be styled..and then I would do something with the H-Menu...the colors are a little off and it's block and the gradient needs some tweaking. Also a big flaw is the background of the page and the background of the header clash quite a bit, think someone mentioned this already.

I made a few small tweaks, rounded some corners, changes some colors and added some shadows..very quick edit and subtle..but just to show you how some small changes can make a big difference...look here:

    www(dot)rememberingelvis(dot)com/example.jpg

My postcount hasn't updated so it wouldn't let me post direct link..so change the (dot)'s to .'s

(Since I do have enough posts and I am only posting an image to help you I guess it should be ok..if not would an admin please let me know, thank you!)

A like the look. I do think you need to spice up the header and logo. It's not really convincing. The logo looks like it's done fast.

Your basic design looks pretty good. It's simple and not over the top which is a bonus. The only thing you may want to do is change the logo so that it stands out more and make it a little less complicated. Then you could add a background image or some kind of design to the banner area to make it more appealing to the eye. You could also try moving the menu right to the top of the page or right below the banner to spread things out a little. Hope this helps :)

    Are you new to designing?

Alright my opinion is that you need to add a :hover effect to your navigation buttons, and make a footer similar to your header. Other then that, I can't really see anything wrong with it, maybe the search box is the wrong color and the navigation button gradient is too vast.
