Where they are right now is fine, you could get away with using a lot more and the one in the header you should use a banner sized ad instead of that small one.

Try placing ads between posts like they are on this Forum Note on this forum and other established ones where the ads are placed.

MIght wanna remove border from the top most small ad.

 

I like the look of your forum. I agree with the poster above, check out this forum carefully, see where their ads are and it will give you an idea on the best ad placements.

Width of 160 X 600 ads is less, place some 336 X 280........... or any other with more width than 160...............

 

There is no space for a 336pixels wide ad in the right sidebar. You have a 120 skrapper, make it 160 instead (that performs better than 120 according to official google blog)
