Check amount of affiliates for certain product

I would like to know if there is a way to know how many people/affiliates are promoting a certain product on ClickBank? The only thing I see is gravity that tells you how many products were sold in a period of 2 months but it does not say how many people have landing pages to promote this product. This would be useful when choosing what to promote because if 100 copies are sold within 2 months and there are 2,000 people promoting it, then we would know to look for some other products to promote since this one already has too many promoters.

Gravity tells you how many affiliates made a sale.

It's not really possible to see how many sales the vendor makes.
Products which have a continuous high gravity (meaning it maintained the gravity over a longer period of time time) can be considered as products which sell pretty well, since affiliates are making sales with for a longer period of time, and the gravity stays.

That doesn't mean that low gravity products don't sell, low gravity products can perform just as well, sometimes even better than the high gravity ones, however I prefer higher gravity ones because they're proven to perform.

Yes, but how do you know how many people are trying to promote the products or how many affiliates have landing pages for this product? I know that gravity means number of sales, but if there were 100 sales that does not mean a lot to me if there are 2,000 other people promoting the product. That means, my chances of selling this products and making money are 1 in 2,000 assuming that all affiliates advertise equally which usually is not true. Even if I had an awesome landing page and spent a lot of time writing articles and invested plenty of money into PPC advertising, I would still have those other 2,000 people to compete with that are basically doing the same thing.

Well an easy way to find affiliates is to simply strip off half the hoplink in google and do a search i.e "vendornoobie.hop.clickbank.net" using the various google search strings..

This of course will only give you the results of affiliates not cloaking their hoplinks, but it's a start.

Good idea. Thank you for this useful tip.

Edit: I tried doing this and it only shows 12-20 pages even for products that have over 450 gravity. I think Google does not index landing pages from affiliates or I'm doing something wrong.

Usually the higher the gravity the more affiliates promote the products, so simply check the gravity.

Gravity is not the number of sales, but number of affiliates that have made at least one sale in the past 8 weeks.
More Gravity usually means more affiliates.

For example, a new affiliate makes 1 in 1 day or he makes 20 sales in 1 day, it will still count as 1 sale, regardless of how many sales the affiliate has made.

If you have Affiliate Elite, there's a feature in there that shows how many affiliates are promoting a certain vendor if I'm not mistaken.
