Check All only performing at 1% of checks

    Hi there,

    Great tool!

I'm writing regarding the "Check All" functionality.

I logged in last night, performed "check all" and about 1% of my keyword terms were checked BUT there was the option to refresh. After about 15-20 "refresh"ed, everything was up to date.

Today however, again only about 1% went on the first query, but the refresh option was totally ineffectual this time around.

I have many N/A's at this point in time which I gather are processor intensive and I have about 330 total keyword terms in there.

Is this common? Any way to massage the query?

    Thanks,

    - PT

I have had that before, I chalk it up to a 'burp'. Retry and if no success then Shawn (Digital Point) is the guy to talk to.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I'll do that...will update regarding success/failure.

Only remaining concern is...330 terms, 1000 queries allowed per day....I probably only get three shakes...I'll update on that too...

Well; for the keywords it has checked they are all wrong. Everyone one of them so far has dropped -999999 billion places, but when I Search google, they are in the same place as yesterday, so the API probably isn't even working right on google's end or its timing out.

There was a combination of issues this morning... the Google API was running really slow, so the check all threads were getting backed up (since each one uses a connection to the DB server). It got to the point that more check all threads were running than there were connections to the DB server and you would start getting the error (for new people). Anyway, I made a change so that only 50 concurrent check all threads can be running at once (it will basically say try in a few minutes). If anything more than that is running, 99.99% of the time it's because Google's servers are running painfully slow anyway.

As far as loosing queries because of running check all more than once, it's smarter than that. If there are keywords that have been looked up today and some that have not been when you run the check all, it will only look up the ones that have not already been done today.

You can unbuckle your seatbelts, recline your seats, and return to your regularly scheduled program. ;)

Shawn - thanks for the detailed explaination.

Looks like the road has become bumpy once again...maybe 8:20 EST is not the best time to try and get in there?

    Waiting it out...

Don't have many words that I track but it's always seemed to work fine for me at around 4:00 to 5:00 am. :)

It shouldn't matter how many you have... I have not seen any problems with the API lately, so things aren't running slowly either.

Eureka....took three refreshes (I find a good pause between refreshes helps), but I got through 305.

Thought I ought to share this:

    1. Got through my 305 as outlined above.
    2. Tried to add a new keyword.
    3. Got "Daily limit of 1000 queries exceeded"

From this thread, strikes me that is not supposed to happen.

No worries from my end, just hoping the feedback will be useful.
