I earned for two months over 700$ by using Chitika ad publisher. All went great to the moment when they made audit check. I recieved an e-mail with a note informing that my account has been suspended. The reason they gave was "traffic analysis for your account highlighted plausible fraudulent activity". Very surprised logged into my account and saw that they audited only over 200$ from mentioned 700$. All this audited revenue was from my first couple of days of using Chitika. All next days was 0$ worth in their opinion. This is pointless because all my traffic comes from Overture. It's geo-targeted US traffic! I've never tried to cheat them. I paid for the clicks 500$. Instead of beeing +200$ honestly earned I lost 300$ or maybe more because I'm not sure that they will send me even this $200. I can't now even log in to my account. I sent them a ticket 3 weeks ago describing my situation and nothing! No reply. I'm very dissapointed and feel theefed. Maybe some of you have an idea how to get my money back?
I wouldn't say you were cheated. They have a right to audit traffic and dont have to payout if they feel the traffic was not worthly. Sorry for you loss, but this should all be in the terms of service they provide. Just because YOU didn't do anything to undermine the process, doesn't mean that the traffic was within thier TOS, sorry to tell you. Good luck,
ServerUnion states it quite well and no need to rehash that really. Your thread title could just as easily be "Chitika Cheated" meaning they didn't cheat you, but they were cheated; but not necessarily by you. You may have identitified part of your own problem. If a lot of your traffic is from Overture or the likes, and those people further clicked on your ads, they may have be audited out as "curiosity clicks" if they were just simply clicking and passing through.
Ya know, I really don't like this about Chitika. I moderately use adwords, and would love to get my money back from "curiosity" clicks, but it doesn't work that way. It's just the way it is... You have conversion %'s that you do business by. If the only clicks people paid for were ones where people convert, then the publishers should just use an affiliate program, and earn the same or more money.
Hahah. I embarrass you publicly and all you can do is red rep me anonymously? Weak.. So you're dumb AND a coward Now if only red rep meant something to me or affected my life in any way you'd have something there
