Cheat Qaulity Score

Adwords quality score is really ticking me off. I don't have a problem with most of my campaigns. However, recently I created a new campaign and found that after only 50 impressions the quality score pulled all my ads (increased the cost to $10). I was bidding on hotel terms for a hotel of mine (in a specific city).

The reason I am so ticked, is because Google is showing ads that are less releveant than mine. The landing page quality score makes no sense in my case.

So, I want to play around with cheating their system (mostly for fun and because I am in a bad mood). Here are two ideas:

    1. Cloaking - In theory, you should be able to cloak for any google bot and for any queries coming from Mt. View CA (show Google related users a high ranking page for your topic and show the real users your landing page).
    2. Multiple Landing Pages - What about putting multiple landing pages in your adwords account? You could set up several ads and point them to high ranking sites but limit their exposure to 1%. The ad that gets 99% of the exposure could be your ad.

      Thoughts?

If AdWords is at all important to your business my only suggestion would be to proceed with caution.

option 1 does not work - real people from foreign countries check the ads

Not only that, but bots masquerading as fake people also come from places other than Mt View.

If you want to win at Google Adwords, all you have to do is be honest with your offering. If you get a poor quality score, then put some energy into improving that rather than trying to outsmart possibly some of the smartest people on the planet ... :)

just focus on A/B testing landing pages. You can also call them directly and see what they tell you.

Option 2 is interesting, but I'm pretty sure you'll get caught.

I tested option two on a very small scale. It worked for a while, but then they caught on (increased the price). I would guess with some more testing, this one may work.
