Cheat Codes

    Cheat codes are not copyrighted and can't be copyrighted. At least that was nintendo.com's response email to me.

    Is it true? Does anyone have any inside info on this topic?

    I think cheat codes falls under factual information. The cheat codes are embedded into the software so it's a fact that a certain code will do a certain thing.

    Factual information can't be copyrighted (although this is a very broad statement).
