I need a link campaign for my website. I want these links to be perminant if possible and perhaps be in the form of written articles as well as directory submissions. Is this thebest white hat approach?

Yessss!!! This is a nice and wise way to build backlinks for your site. But you have to write articles or otherwise rent the writers from scriptlance.com and rentacoder.com.

You can check my signature for cheap articles.

As for getting links, there are plenty of great offers I see in the Services forum. Some semi-grayhat some completely whitehat. Either way, great prices in there.

You may want to try http://www.homebiztools.com/article-dir.htm. There are article directories listed there and they are categories into popular, high traffic, established and new article directories. Hope it'll helps you. :)

Writing articles and distributing them among website that are related to yours is the best way to get backlinks. If you don't want to write the articles by yourself I recommend elance.com or if you're on a tight budget try rentacoder.com (I had a bad experience with them but that was just me..) or scriptlance.

Download the free software Article Distributor. You'll see tons of article directories there. Plus, you can configure it to automatically fill up the forms. You may use the software to submit or a reference, any way you want.

Yes of course. It is just a piece of software that automatically "FILL THE FORMS". Plus, it's a good source to get a list of article directory sites. I DO NOT consider this blackhat. You may submit 2 different articles to the quality article directories that you can find. but my advice is that, you should first submit to these top article directories:

    EzineArticles.com
    GoArticles.com
    Articledashboard.com
    Isnare.com
    Articlecity.com
    Articlesbase.com
    Articlesender.com
    Articlebiz.com
    Free-articles-zone.com
    Articleavenue.com
    Ezineplug.com
    Bigarticles.com
    ArticleBlast.Com
    ArticleFever.com
    ArticleBin.com
    ArticleCodex.com
    Certificate.net
    LadyPens.com
    ArticleWise.com
    ThePhantomWriters.com

Make sure you follow their guidelines before submitting.

    Here is what I do:

    1. Write a simple short article. (version 1)
    2. Rewrite it into a longer article with much more detail and a different title (version 2)
    3. Post version 2 on my site.
    4. Post version 1 on Ezinearticles
    5. Post version 1 with yet a different title on www.articlemarketer.com (paid service).

I make sure that my author bio contains a link to my site, and a link to the version 2 of the article which is posted on my site (a deep link). That way I'm building links to my internal pages as well as my front page.

I've used iSnare as well, but it is quite a bit more expensive and had more limitations. I've been pretty impressed with articlemarketer, but your results may vary.

Most of the links I get from this method are not from high PR pages. However, I do get a small but steady flow of traffic from it.

The best way to get quality links is probably to find a site with a related topic and offer to write a good quality unique article in exchange for a link. Before you write it ask the site owner what type of article he/she needs. That way your article is targeted to meet their goals and they are more likely to use it. I think it is best to approach them from the standpoint that you'd like to write an article and if they like it they can publish it. If they don't feel it fits you can use it elsewhere. Also it is a good idea to send them two articles to choose from. That way if they don't like one, they may like the other and it turns the choice into comparing the two articles for the best one instead of yes/no.

Great post Qwerty100. I use a similar method, and although it isn't as effective now as it once was it is still worthwhile & works well for getting new sites off the ground.

Can I ask why you post to EzineArticles seperate from articlemarketer?

How successful is article writing? Has anyone had a lot of success over just directory submission. It seems writing articles is costly in either time or money so is it really worth the time/money for the links?
