My current registrar is too expensive and I need to transfer away a few domains. Can you please tell me which is the cheapest registrar for transfers? Thank you.

Transfers are normally free... its the registration or renewal that will cost you. If you are switching registrars... you will have to renew your domain with them to transfer it.

I just paid about $7.50 per domain at goDaddy using some codes I found on this forum. Search "godaddy codes"

Yes, I understand what you mean. Transfer/renewal means the same for me when changing registrars. The cheapest I've found is namecheap right now for $6.99 ....

I charge $8.99 for transfers. More expensive than most, but I can personally help you transfer over.

I would also consider the price of renewal for the following years... Namecheap will be $9.69 plus ICANN fees. I also see godaddy is running a 6.99 special for transfers... but normally 9.99

It really depends on what extentions you are looking to transfer. Without knowing that, we can't really give you the best advice.

There are so many cheap registrars mentioned in this forum..one piece of advice, please do check the renewals fees as many registrars do allow transfer-ins at a cheaper rate but then recover all the cost in renewals and also other problems like Locks on the Domain etc!
