I would also like to know. It seams that standard prices range from $7 to $8 for each.

Have you seen Godady’s Economy plan? It seams to be very cheap and they say that the domain name will only cost $1.99.

at bladehost i get superlite package and get the .com domain name for free using coupon "HULLPROMO" you do have to pay anually for that mind but only £15 for the full package including domain setup etc

i have maybe 50 accounts with them for my customers .. I know there are cheaper places but the lengths these guys go to for customer service is unreal

until you try and move it
i used to use 1&1 before, and they were fine when i was with them, but i had a disagreement and decided to take my business elsewhere and talk about digging in their heals
i ended up reporting them to nominet
it wasnt like i even wanted to transfer my domains away, i just wanted them to change the DNS

Yep, picked like 100 domains from them.... Now I believe they will be changing their prices though...

If you can get into Fabulous.com's 4.0 or 5.0 membership. You can buy domains for $6.25 wholesale rate.

Funny ive used them for 3 years and have had no issue's with my domains.
they even offer Private Domain Registration for FREE
most places charge $1.50+ per domain and some places $10 per yr just for this
    that makes them very attractive

Do you guys believe I’m still trying to register my domain with Godaddy. I’ve been at it for about 3 hours.

I might have precipitated a bit on going with Godaddy. I only did it because of the price for the domain that totaled $12 for two years and the fact that hosting only costs $3.96 month. The entire thing plus private domain name cost me $24 which I thought to be reasonable. But like CoolGt said yahoo has great prices now and I think they’re more reliable.

i think like the standard domain price is like $8 or so

i just use Namecheap, their site is very userfriendly and very easy to buy and manage ur domains

some of the cheap ones might work but they are only for the first year so if u wanna renew or for all the other years its like $8 again

This is what I know... hope it helps! (info good if registering various domains)
Other scam to keep in mind that price may change after the first year or initial transfer (i.e: transfer domain now for $6.25, then next year you have to pay $11.25 etc.)

    (ev1)
    Nice people
    Nice support
    Great price $6.49
    Renew domain $6.49
Horrible domain manager (that's why I want to move)

    (GoDaddy)
    Ok people and support
    OK domain manager
    Bad price $8.89
Yes, sometimes they run specials to lure you in.

    (Domainsite)
    Ok support
    Good domain manager
    Ok price $6.99 for basic
    No DNS control (problem)

    (1and1)
Sent 3 inquiries to setup a new account (no answer)
That's all I need - I will not touch them! They are a complete jokers:D

    (Registerfly)
    Unreliable domain manager
    Bad support
    Horrible price $9.99
Lost few of my domains and many people having the same problem.
The attorney general is compiling information for class action.
Place definitely to stay away from. I am serious!

    (My wish list)
Find a forum that has GOOD information about registrars. (maybe this one)
    Find a registrar that will:
    Responsible
    Good support
Price under $7 and same for renewal
    Good domain manager

    I am still looking
