You may try namesilo.com . Cheapest price ever. Same for renew. No tricky pricing policy. Free whois. Use coupon code "ONEDOLLARLESS" to get $1 off.
    Hope it helps.

Godaddy will cost you $14.99 to renew a single .com domain. :)
Check here https://www.namesilo.com/transfer_compare.php to watch people leaving godaddy :D

You are 100% right. Registration is low at godaddy using offers/coupons but renew is very high. If we consider the price for multiple year, we will save huge amount of money with namesilo. I have only 10 domains including a ctld but some other people own hundreds/thousands of domains.

Cheaper isn't always better. I'll pay a little more for private Whois and peace of mind knowing that the company I register with ISNT going to play games if someone complains about my domain. Godaddy is the worst....and their terms of service is scary as an owner!!!

Godaddy has $1.99 .com's but as others have stated, renewal fee is very high. Yesterday I picked up a .com at 1&1 for just 99 cents and they have lower renewal rates.

I got the 99cent coupon directly from http://www.namearoo.com- their domain search tool is pretty helpful too.

Namecheap has coupon running every month, just search for namecheap coupon codes and you will look for the latest coupons.

Well, various hosts offer different great deals that you can check out - sometimes they offer $1 domains, I think Register.com was offering them for $0.5 once. Godaddy has $1 or $3 coupons all the time, you can just check them out on some of those coupon sites around the web.

Also, during Black Friday you can usually get tons of insane domain deals. Namecheap, one of my favorite registars, had a $1 domain registration deal during black friday. Unfortunately, I was unable to receive the domain (too many people ordering, causing website to crash). An Enom reseller account can cut down costs to around $5/domain I believe.

There are other domain registars that offer cheap domains, such as 1&1 which offers cheap .com registration ($1 I believe).

Godaddy is cheapest with coupons but renewal is high, otherwise try out namebright.com, they offer domains at cost pricing, and a really good, will recommend.

I'm having trouble registering more than 1-2 cheap godaddy domains with coupons. Even if I create a new account, it doesn't work. Maybe because I'm using the same CC?

If anyone can register $1- $1.49 godaddy domains for me and push to my account, let me know. I will pay $2 for each.
