Cheapest domain name registration for multiple years?

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by dasklney, Dec 20, 2015.

    Hello,

I would like to register one domain for long use for my hobby, would you please recommend me any registrar which offers cheapest domain name registration for multiple years?

I don't care much about the domain extension so any extension is still good.

    Thank you in advanced,
    Giang

Prices vary based on extension. However for long-term, I would say you should look at Namecheap. Some like GoDaddy offer a very low one-year registration price then a much higher price for years 2 and on ($14.99). Namecheap is the same price each year ($10.69 plus $0.18 ICANN fee), but you can find a code to save like $1.03 on the first year only. So overall, Namecheap is cheaper than GoDaddy or 1&1 over multiple years. Privacy protection is free for the first year and with a code you can get it for $0.99 for ensuing years.

Correction: Namecheap does offer a $0.10 reduction in price for each additional year of registration for .com.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I'm looking for more cheaper. For example, .it domain is selling at $58 USD for 10 years, but I'm looking for even cheaper, this is for just hobby project, and I would like just pay once and can use for 10 years or so.

There is a free option from freenom but they are usually delete my domain for any reason.
