Cheapest Content Writing

Probably the cheapest content creation I have seen is to go to http://www.rentacoder.com. You can place a job there, and coders will bid on it. They will do anything - scripting, coding, article writing etc. for dirt cheap.

Once you post your job, and accept a bid, you don't have to accept the final work unless it is to your standards. I have had articles written there for $2-3 for 1,000 words or more.

Hope someone can make use of this.

I have used Rentacoder in the past and did find some very good content writers. Cost did range from $5.00 per article (500 words) up to .05 per word. The one thing that is nice is the money sits in escrow. Therefore the writer has an incentive to complete the project within the agreed upon guidelines. If any problems occur, an arbitrator from rentacoder gets involved. Only ever had 2 problems, and it was resolved very quickly.

    WOW, that's like nothing!
Even articles of poor quality, full of grammatic mistakes and hardly interesting but unique cost around $10 for 1000 words, I can't believe untill I see with my own eyes ;)

I have been using it more then 2 years.. now a days it's getting difficult to get good writers... they are getting way expensive... I had to find some one here at Dp. you will get bids ofr $ 2 and $3 but they just copy the stuff off form the web... you have to go thought RAC guys to get the refund for that.. you loose nothing if the quality is missing other then your time for communication.

You mean the article you got there are all not unique?
Can you tell people you check it with copyscape and if it's not unique you won't pay?

Mike, in the agreement with rentacoder, you can specify that all work must be original, etc...

I do check everything with copyscape just to keep em honest.

A recent newspaper article said that college students were bidding out their homework on RentACoder. They pay just a few bucks to have programming, database, etc. done.

You know I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but you really do get what you pay for. Depending on the type of content that I am looking for, I may use the "inexpensive" writers to get a baseline for the articles and have my wife expand on them into something better.

When I am looking for good writing I have no problem paying the $10 and above for the articles. Without a doubt you can definately see the difference in the quality from grammer, content, etc...

That's true, but for adsense sites people usually need content which is good for googlebot, not human. So if it has not too many gromattik mestekis and is somehow interesting and completely unique - it's perfect ;)

You should definately check with Copyscape or Google to see whether articles are unique or not when using services like rentacoder.
I went to Scriptlance to get a few articles written and have received them just a few moments ago. All 5 articles were just taken from article sites.
What's worse is that I've already paid him because he seemed very professional and had good feedback. He wasn't even cheap, with the project fee it came down to about $7 per 500 words article....
I guess that teaches me for being too naive. oh well, off to the services forum to find a real writer.

Anyone using RentACoder should be prepared for intense security scrutiny. Tonight I turned in a routine requeest for bids, my fourth in about a year, for way less than $100. Same name, same email, same credit card, same physical address. No previous disputes with RAC.

Their computer didn't like me. I had to re-re-verify due to "Suspicious Activity" and "Heavy Usage." In my case re-re-verifying meant I had to send them 33 cents via PayPal, then email them photos of the front and back of my credit card, and be available to answer a call at my home phone!

I haven't used them in about 2 months. So you were already verified and now you had to go through the process again? That seems to be a little strange expecially if you have used your credit card there in the past. I wonder if they had some problems lately? Maybe a security breach?

They did the security checks with me too. Everything was smooth after that. Annoying for sure, but I understand they need to combat fraud as much as they can. Too many frauds on there could ruin their business.

Yes, I was already verified for the previous work I had done there. The CSR who called me on the phone this morning was very friendly and seemed mystified as to why I needed to be checked.

Their website has a page explaining why they are so strict about security. Something about their young company getting taken for $5200 by scammers and having to absorb the loss.

As someone else has mentioned, prices for content writing do seem to have gone up.
