Cheapest and best way to get an AP press release?

Say you have a cool site that provides a new innovative service. What is the best way to get a press release by the Associated Press, and hopefully get that site covered in 100s of national newspapers and websites?

Would you need to hire a PR firm, and how expensive should it be?

    Thanks

Many services offer press release writing online. Some advertise here on this forum in the service section. And we also write them here for many people on a regular basis.

Here are links to our sites with more info:

(2 programs there: Crazy 8s! and Sweet 16! for $8 and $16 keyword content)

(check out 'Press Release / Article' icon for info, live work samples, resume, client comments and more, then give a shout (PM, email through site, call or whatever...) for a special Digital Point deal from me to help out!

    Thanks!
