Please do not use those in the same sentence.

You can get domains for under $10/year and quaility hosting for for about that a month/

    Good luck

The cheapest and best domain registar I've used is Godaddy. Very easy to use and haven't had any problems yet.

GoDaddy is not the cheapest (or the best), but they're pretty cheap and pretty good :)) I would trust GoDaddy more than, say, 1and1 even though 1and1's reg. prices are cheaper. Don't know why.

They do offer a plan that starts at $3.99.... kind of hard to beat that.

I had a lot of problems with GoDaddy when I was trying to do more complicated things (php) and could never get the coop script to work on there. Personally I would recommend site5.com - they have a nice multi-site plan and I haven't had any trouble with any of the code I'm using.

For domain registering i'm a large fan of namecheap.com, good, fast, cheap, and you can pay with unverified paypal.

same although i have one hosting account with them on the $3.99 plan. biggest downside to that plan is no 'external' DB access, so i couldnt install forums or any CMS on there.

Their domains are cheap though and its very simple to unlock them and change nameservers
