Where is a cheap, but good place to register a .com domain?

I am aware of namecheap and godaddy.

Any others that have domains for under $6 ?

MyDomain.com are under $6 for bulk using coupon "bargaincat.com" for 15% off your order, single domains will cost $7.61 with that coupon.

I definitely agree that it is name.com
Only $5.99 (without any kind of bonus/coupon involved):D, accept paypal and above that no waiting time for immediate transfer (like 60 day godaddy wait) while the whole process is very slick as well :D

register.com is free for 1 year, you can try registering a domain, I just tried and it is really free. But be careful, do not select the paid options, they is a lot of such paid options on the way. Also disable the auto renewal so that you can remember to transfer out in time as their renewal is $35/years if I am not wrong.

You just go register.com, register a domain, they will give you an option to register for the free domain, with or without extra services, choose without and the domain is free for one year. Of course remember to transfer out before then as their renewal fees are high.

Another tip is that you can also look for coupons or deals that are with the company you are registering with to save even more.

    I use namecheap.
