    That is still around $6.5
    I personally like godaddy/namecheap.
But I often use yahoo as it is the cheapest ($1.99 for com, net, biz, us, org)
I had issue with them only once as they could not validate my credit card account as I have chhanged address and i had to lose one.
But the only thing you need to do is create a separate account for each of domain names ( I generally add a number after the domain as the yahoo user name) and use credit card.

    I wish they accept paypal.

I use namecheap... they always have a few coupon codes to cut registration by about a buck... ends up being about 8 per domain... immediate registration too..

Godaddy offers $6.95 + ican fee= $7.20/.com domain I think. I think this is cheap. Also .info is around $1+ only. ;)

I use fxdomains.com for everything. Never had a problem with them. .com is $7, great service, and they accept paypal.

I can also stick my hand up for fxdomains - not as well known but pretty much as cheap as anyone else and always got descent service. They are bit of hidden gem.

Otherwise namecheap is has competitive pricing and is always trustworthy.

Heard too many dodgy stories about godaddy - I prefer to avoid them personally.
