I need to run two scripts. Both have different requirements. I only need one, so please tell me which one will work with your service. I just need 5gb space, 100gb transfer. Most important part is that the scripts need to work. Since I will only be getting a few hits a day and this will put no stress on your server. My max budget is $2 per month. I don't care about speed. Just needs to work. Script 1: * MySQL (version 4 or higher) * PHP (version 4.3 or higher) * Ioncube Loaders (this will not in anyway impact on the ability to modify the script) * GD Library 2 * PHP (version 5+) * mem_limit = 64mb * Ffmpeg, Ffmpeg-php * Apache Mod_Rewrite Enabled * max_execution_time = 1000 Script 2 * Apache web server with mod_rewrite enabled. * MySQL version 4.0+ * Access to cgi-bin. * GD Library 2+ with freetype support. * PHP4 or PHP5 with the following configuration 1. safe_mode = off 2. open_basedir = (no value) 3. output_buffering = on 4. register_argc_argv = On 5. max_execution_time = 1000 (Recommended or higher) 6. session.gc_maxlifetime = 15000 (Recommended or higher) 7. upload_max_filesize = 100M (Recommended or higher) 8. post_max_size = 100M (Recommended or higher) 9. register_globals = off * Mplayer + Mencoder (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html) * LAME MP3 Encoder (http://lame.sourceforge.net) * Flv2tool (http://inlet-media.de/flvtool2) * Libogg + Libvorbis (http://www.xiph.org/downloads) * FFmpeg (http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu) * Ability to run PHP from the command line (CLI) with exec() * Ability to execute background processes with exec("binary > /dev/null &")
You won't find much reliability for $2/month with FFmpeg I would suggest you get a VPS for this, however as you said there will be little to no traffic I'm sure you should be able to find a compatible FFmpeg host to suit your needs.
I'm going to be honest and say that you will not find shared hosting with FFmpeg for $2/month let alone with your other requirements. You’re also going to have a hard time finding a host that has your requirements enabled/installed on their shared servers. I highly recommend you up your budget (a lot) and look for a VPS because you will be able to install what you like then. Jack
