Many first time starters are often tempted to do cheap tricks to boost their traffic. Sometimes they're even creative enough to come up with a unique trick of their own. Have you ever done something like that? If you have, would you care unveiling it here?

Um on my blog for examples (been up for 2 weeks or less) I just post videos I find funny, funny content, my ramblings and such. Send them to my friends on msn and then word of mouth from there. It's working pretty good actually.

I am getting a good traffic from MyBlogLog. My blog community is in top 50 of MyBlogLog. I tried to find some loophole in MyBlogLog. The more about it is in my signature.
But am sure that MyBlogLog is a good way to get some easy traffic.

What do you consider good traffic? I used MBL for a while a few months ago, and found that it took a ton of work to get a tiny amount of traffic. Even some of the top 10 say they only get 50-200 UVs per day from MBL ...

    Thanks for the feedback,
    Anita :)

Ohhh.. just the difference of perspectives.
I think 50-100 uv per day from a source is good enough.

good traffic comes from the search engines! and bad traffic comes from traffic exchanges!
i have never looked for traffic beyond search engines, i try to keep away from the cheap traffic!

No certainly not. I was just talking about a traffic from a single source (referral).

    Content is king of course.
Decent articles and information will keep people coming back.

"cheap tricks" will only net temporary visitors.
