Someone had pointed me recentally to a website (http://marketing.networksolutions.com/top-ten-results.php) that he had recived in his email. they promiss top 10 results for the keywords you choose and list in one of the pages the actions thire going to take. thire prices seems to be very low for top 10 results. is there a catch? is that SEO reliable? what exactly is that deal? it sounds too good to be true....
no one can guarantee or promise you about SEO results. they will just give you a "too specific keywords" that nobody search and ofcourse your site will be there in top 10. you dont know how long will you be on top 10 and how long would it take to go top10. dont trust them so much or you can even try to do it yourself.
Interesting. It does seem that this is a "legitimate" offer. But I use it loosely because what you get may be of questionable value. I agree, be very weary of any guarantees. If you read between the lines, here is what it appears that they are offering on the guaranteed packages: For the 20 keyword package at $2800, they are only guaranteeing that 5 keywords will be in the top ten. And apparently they pick the keywords. So 15 of the 20 keywords will probably be good solid targeted keywords (I am giving them the benfit of the doubt), and 5 will be keywords that are specific to your company name, or so specific that the traffic count would be minimal. In other words, 5 of the keywords will be words they know they can get top 10 with, but may not bring you any traffic. Plus, they are only guaranteeing that 5 of the keywords will be in the top 10 in at least 1 of 12 search engines. And on top of that, any submission fees are extra..... So you could end up in the top 10 on Lycos for 5 variations of your company’s name, which would most likely happen without any significant SEO work, and you would still have to pay full price.
Man .. most of the so called SEO companies that I know are pure BS! They charge you $2-$3k to rank you in the top 10 for your company name and shit like that ... WTF! If you want I can get you the top 10 for "grandma web hosting" go for it ... but who cares about that and what's the traffic that you're going to get ?? BTW always read the agreement because that's there they put the the little text of how they're going to make you loose your vir--inity. Cheers, Venetsian. P.S. BTW I spoke with one of the sales rep for NS and they tolled me that Pay-Per-Click is SEO .. so .. I have no words for that ...
I feel like laughing.. all this is just bullshit.. they will keep all the trump cards and you just pay the money and get nothing.. Avoid it with a huge margin.
I'm glad to see jimkarter posted here while I was off checking out the URL of his thread from a couple of days ago to post here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=298363 Follow that thread (and his blog). Substitute jims network of private directories for a few more bought links eg text-link-ads, blog posts etc (assuming you don't have your own network), outsource the boring bits if you like. Total spend? Perhaps $500-1500. Results? Way better than what you'll get from most SEO companies charging twice the price.
I can get them top ranking for "over priced service with some of the worst service" based on my experience using them as a domain registrar. They may have changed but they were a classic example of big brand, high price, worst service.
Good SEO is a long time process. usually we charge $40-50 per keyword in TOP10. Try sites like scriptlance, getacoder to find a good SEO team.
From my own experiences, If SEO company said they will get you ranked top 10 in various search engines with your own company name so they are BS. Most of people in SEO fields already know that it would be much easily to get ranked top 10 for your company name or typo words that no people search (ie. "grandpas of hammer" "junxjinxjanx") SEO is not hard, you can learn and be a good SEOer yourselves but SEO consumes a much time in its process. If your times is much worth then go to hire some SEO firm to do seo for you is better.
Man .. if you charge me $40-50 per keyword I'll hire you ASAP! my first order will be "web hosting" I'll pay $50 right away! Ha ha ha .. Venetsian..
