    Hi PPL,

Was just thinking if any of you knows of any good service that can convert a pdf into a physical book? (Printing service)

Let me explain, its no secret that providing printed material (apart from a digital download) is a good way to increase your overall revenues because people like the idea of having something on paper. The only problem is that it looks like these so called "printing service" that can print a pdf in various formats (binding, hardcover, etc) cost an arm and a leg. (Some charge $50 to print a simple 100 page pdf book!)

Anyone knows of any good service that is not too expensive?

Also, how come such services are so expensive? Its not like ink and paper costs as gold!

Well yeah, actually, binding a book is pretty expensive in small batches.

If you just want it printed and bound cheaply, places like Fedex offer cheap printing. But if you want a hardcover book - that's going to be expensive no matter where you order it from, unless you are doing thousands of copies.
