Hello, I'm a lowly 17 year old looking for the cheapest way to get my referral link for a website out there. I'm planning to spend my money on the advertising in small amounts at a time, so I'm looking for a service that allows you to refill your account with however much you want and it will run your ad for as much as the money will pay for. I am currently looking at adbrite and thinking about running a couple 1 day long text ads as a test, would that be worth the money? Or is there a better alternative. Thanks.
I haven't tried adbrite but I have heard lots of ppl around here say that they lost a load of money using Adbrite. You and I are in the same boat. . I am 18 . I think you should try to get a Credit card and try Google AdWords. I am just stepping into that area... See the experiment done my this guy here: http://www.theiinside.com/adwords-experiment-1-10day-for-7-days-day-1/ It has inspired me. . Been checking out some stuff from CJ and Clickbank. Thomas
I spent a couple bucks on AdBrite, not much of a loss there, more like an experiment, like that google guy did. The ad should run sunday, I'll see how it goes. I might spend some cash in google if this doesn't work out. P.S. How do the affiliate websites work?
Affiliate websites pay you a part of each sale you refer. You can either join affiliate networks like CJ.com and clickbank.com or you can directly join the affiliate programs at their websites itself( like hostgator.com for example ). Once you join, you get a set of URLs and you get a percentage of the sale price for each sale referred through your URL. Some hosting companies pay as much as $100-$200 per sale you make, no matter what value the sale is!! Cool huh? Then there is the Amazon affiliates program that will give you commision for selling their books. Thomas
If you're interested I can give you free adwords/ypn credit. You just have to pay for the initial $5.00 activation fee. Send me a PM
You could also try writing articles and approaching websites in your target market to publish them. Regards David Tislini
