Cheap .org domains ($3.99)

Just thought i'd pass along a little information that i've found handy.
Directi Resellers can sell .org domains as low as $2.50 this month. www.DotFrog.com (owned by mohawkri of this board) is selling them to users for $3.99 with a free push after 3 days of registration. The only catch is you must signup at the provider under a Latin American/Caribbean, Chinese/Southeast Asian and African address. After you have registered the domain, obviously you can change it back to a United States address.

That is a great tip But isn't that a "little bit" illegal ?

 

Not really sure. Seems legit to me as for the fact even a resident of those countries could push it to another person.

 

Hmm, sounds a little obscure, to be on the safe side I'd rather turn down this offer.. I remember back in the days when they were handing out free .info domains

 

and btw, it's expensive - these .orgs go for under $2

renewal on these is the same as for "normal" .org afaik

 

So it's roughly $7. That's still not too bad.

$3.99 is not a cheap price, it's even expensive

 

HostMySite.com had $2.95 offer for all extension running for two months and that service is not a Directi reseller but looks like tucows, not sure
