I think guys are simply started with a promo action to gain customer base fast They are losing about $3 on domain now, but they get more customers, who most likely will pay higher fees for renewals If anyone is interested I can register .com , .net , .org domains for you too for $8, and $8 for renewals, through directi as well. But I dont use paypal, I can accept Epassporte.
So is this scam or not?? Can some of those who bought domains confirm that their domains are registered to their names and can be pushed without problem? Can the thread starter confirm that he owns the setname.net company and tell us the reason this is so cheap? I haven't seen anyone selling domains this low for promotion only..
this is not scam , Yes i and my friend own the setname.net and yes we am selling for cheap for jjust for few more days now. after that i will close the promotion offer. why i m selling so cheap if you have this question i would say just1 thing this is the world of competition and we have to lose something to get somethiing. i have sold more then 40 domains tillnow and wil sell more 40 at this price and then iwill Get the normal price forthe domains. if any of my customer have any problem simply let me know i m here to answer.
You must go through the terms and conditions of the site and the primary registrar under whom this site is a reseller. Many registrars have the conditions that you must renew the domain with them only and also do not allow the transfers of the domains to a different registrars which has been purchased in promotion or schemes. Even the GoDaaay had done this and you can search for the complaints filed by many customers regarding this. kindly search the internet. kindly read the terma and conditions carefully. confirm it by contacting the site.
as far we are concern you can transfer the domain anytime from the site. hey but the renewal price will not be much like others promotions offers does. we will keep the base price only . dont worry about that. '
tried to register same domains, the registration failed and the paypal payment was not added to my account. When I try to register the domains again it asks for a new payment. Hope you will fix this or refund my money...
You can transfer domain from directi reseller to anywhere, no problem. Just when you transfer you usually need to pay yearly fee for renewal. So no much reason to transfer it from directi...
If you transfer you need to pay the yearly free and you will get 1yr extension also for the fee. if your domain expiring on 10 Jan 2009, transferring will extend it to 09 Jan 2010. If you are looking to have a domain for a longer duration I recommend to get the registration from an ICANN accredited Registrar. check the renewal prices. here the renewal price is $8 to $9 for standard TDL. Check in web. Some are allowing the 5yr registration for $30 (~ $6/yr). So which one would you prefer? I got my domain registered for 5yr. Having domain registered for longer term will increase search engine ranking comparatively.
