I read about this method, applied it, and it worked a few times...It seems most people are paying anywhere from .10-.30 on average per click. I've found that using the CONTENT network instead of the search network, you can get the cheap clicks you're looking for. In my experience, gathering thousands of keywords is important, with at least 100 of them being high traffic. (Searched for at least 100,000 times a month) Use IMAGE ads instead of text ads. Adwords allows about 7-10 different sizes I believe. Put up as many different sizes as possible. Make sure you have a landing page setup that already gives you a good quality score from text ads. Set your location to "All Countries and Territories'", or select as many countries as possible that you KNOW will convert. Bid anywhere from $0.01 to $0.05... Keep in mind this doesn't work 100% of the time, I've had this fall short before, but it seems with very big niches this works the best.
Yes .. Content network is still a gold mine .. until Google decides to slap you though .. I don't know about that 0.01 clicks .. but you can get away with 0.1 clicks ...
Content n/w and Search n/w are 2 different things. You should have set up adwords campaign 2 different ways for them. Search n/w has all restrictions of quality score. Content n/w doesn't. You can get away with mediocre landing page on content n/w. Content n/w is wide open with numeroous sites to advertise on with lot of traffic hence cheap. So your observation and results are good.
IMO NEVER set to All Countries and Territories. It's much better to split test it and track each country
I agree 100% - Content network is a gold mine! I have a campaign running now at $0.02. Wow. Can't beat that. Well, I guess you could if you were getting clicks for $0.01. Lol.
Yes, this method works. Not say as low as 1 ~ 5 cents but definately can make it to 5~10 cents per click
And what about the conversions? Did you guys actually make any decent money out of these dirt cheap clicks?
mmm intresting! maybe not that well targeted but maybe there's away of using them if you think outside of the box.
