    Thanks.

I see that responder is a script. I need then to upload it to a server, yes?
    Can you tell me which?

Do you use Wordpress at all? I just bought this for one of my clients..
It's a Wordpress Newsletter Plugin.. it's not free ($50), but it looks really looked-after by their developers:
    http://tribulant.com/products/view/1/wordpress-mailing-list-plugin
Supports importing of contacts (via CSV), and you can sort them by groups so you can choose which group gets certain 'new' emails. It also lets you post specific posts to your mailing list, either the full post or just the excerpt, and it lets you choose which "group" gets that post, so if you have specific posts that are not appropriate for certain people, you don't send to that "list". The demo on their site looks like you can schedule emails (like an autoresponder) .

And I just recently purchased Digital Access Pass (not cheap, but one-time cost at least, and you can try it for 30 days for 1 cent) - another wordpress plugin but also has unlimited autoresponders built in.. its for turning your wordpress site into a membership site.

I dont like paying monthly for anything, I like to pay once and then not have to worry about it again, so Aweber and the like is not something I want to be forced into using :)

    Yes, I am using WP.

But will this plugin work for other sites to? I am thinking of a online afiliate program for example.

Or this is only for visitors to my WP?

both you can use on unlimited sites.. but the digital access pass is definitely worth checking out.. I think you'll need to try the demos of both to see which one best suits your needs, for example, the newsletter plugin I got for my client is because he already has a list of contacts and wants to import them all into one place and use it just as a mailing list but let new visitors subscribe to it directly from his new blog - he's going to be using it as a mailing list only, not as an autoresponder so thats what I found for him.

Digital Access Pass is what Im using on my new membership site and I'll be using it to "drip feed" differnet products/emails and posts to members. If someone stops paying the membership, they still have access to all the content they already paid for and if they start paying again, they start back from where they left off (they dont have to start from "Day One" all over again, etc). Its got too many features to list here.

But definitely I'll be using both instead of using Aweber/GetResponse etc because you just dont know where youll be down the track so I dont like relying on something I have to pay monthly for unless its something I wont need if for example I ran out of clients (therefore income).

Ive used "free" and cheap mailing list scripts in the past, and I hate them all to be honest, and was always wishing I wouldnt be so stubborn about aweber/getresponse and just pay them the monthly fee, but now that Ive found these 2, I'll be ditching my other scripts.

I use um.. Autoresponder Unlimited at the moment, its a script, you pay once for, I paid about $50 for it many years ago, but you can now get it for $9.95 from this site http://virtuallysales.com/autoresponder/index.html
But its ugly.. it does the job, but I still felt like I was missing the features of Aweber/Getresponse.
