My $100 experiment with SubmitShop

Summary:

I submitted a test run of ten links total, five each for two sites. This was over a month ago and I am now left with several broken promises, two deadlines missed and a still incomplete order. The few links that I have seen so far have been either free directory links or links pages saturated with hundreds of other links on the same page. There was one link for a health site placed in a finance niche directory and another link placed in a completely wrong category. If you're interested in the details I have laid out all of our correspondence below; but have edited out url's and email addresses. (If anyone is interested in the exact url's of the links that were acquired, PM me)

Details:

On June 15th I exchanged several PM's with Mr Singh, placed and payed $100 for a test order. I was told the order would be completed within 12 days. Following is a copy & paste of the final PM that quotes all of the previous messages (read it from the inside out):

So to recap, I placed an order for 5 links each to two sites. The first is a health related site and they were to be deep links with anchor text that matched the article titles. The second site was a dining and entertainment site requiring main page links with specified anchor text. Sunil agreed to these terms and set a deadline of 10-12 days.

Here's the actual exchange through their ticketing system, dates included:

Note that there is one day to go before the deadline and he has managed to secure exactly 7 free directory links for only one of the two sites; all of which were using the wrong anchor text, and two of the directories were exactly the same except for the domain and name in the header image. Hmmmmmm

Note that I specified that I specifically did not want directory or links page links and that I was willing to pay for the quality of link I wanted.

Note that Sunil stated that he would take care of all of my points and set another deadline of 10 days.

on June 10th (13 days later), I sent Sunil the following PM:

He promptly replied and updated my ticket with the following:

What do you know, free directory links and links page links. Yay. Today is the 16th and I've still had no more updates. I haven't even bothered contacting him again as I consider this test run a dismal failure and would rather not waste any more time on it. The second site apparently was not even touched. I could have gotten a much better value using a $10-$40 directory submit service and would urge anyone considering doing business with SubmitShop to look elsewhere.

It's a shame too, if they would have taken the time to do it right and kept their promises, I would have sent them MUCH more work.

Result: $100 = 4 Free directory links + 1 Crowded links page link

This is for your information that at this moment we are taking link building orders only from such clients who need the same to be done over a long period of time and not any emergency or fast running campaign as we have alot of rush orders. We want to provide quality work to our supporters therefore for a little time around 10-15 days we are holding out on orders which require fast providing of links.We are open for campaigns in which you want to have the links built over a period of time that is natural link building.
As soon as we finish off the rush orders we will let you know and again start taking rush or emergency orders of links.

UPDATE

To update my above post, after a few more exchanges through SubmitShop's ticketing system I have now recieved a refund for the services that were not rendered.

Though I am still dissapointed with the quality of service that I experienced and the wasted time, I am satisfied that SubmitShop has now done the honest thing by delivering a refund for the incomplete work.
