They only give you the 99cent special for the 1st year. If you reg for 2 years, it'll be 99 cent for 1st year & the 2nd year @ full price, whatever it is.

Yes it is only for the first year as htmlindex wrote but 2nd year is still a very competitive price if you use the 15% off coupon as I wrote in my first post. Anyway your not obliged to stay with the same register each year but they are as good as anywhere. The good thing at this very low price is that it gives you a full year to get the domain running so it is earning more than the renewal fee by the time next year comes around... if it isn't then you can usualy auction the domain off for at least $1. A lot of people pick up these cheap .info's and then slap a page or two on them and sell them as small sites for $10 - $50 with little work...

indianawizard & hank, your welcome ... seodiscovery, your not obliged to renew but you could use MyDomain.com then if your worried about renewals since they are only $7.6 with the "bargaincat.com" coupon for a renewal. Keep in mind MyDomain.com also have transfers for .com, .info, .net etc for only $6.25 with the same coupon.

there are several ways that I have seen people use including building mini sites and selling them for $10-$50 each which can work out to be a nice profit when you have a few of them. Another is to create a content site or blog, add some orginal content and scatter some ads on the pages then submit to a few directories... should make back renewal fee & a small profit over a year at least.

Mydomain is $7.61 currently with the coupon "bargaincat.com" for 15% discount.
