That 150 year comment was from me, and it was based off the comments that Abdallah S. Jum'ah made at a London Forum, Abdallah S. Jum'ah is the CEO of Aramco Saudi Arabia's oil company but then again what again what would he know about oil.

There is more Oil Shale in the United States then all the oil in Saudi Arabia, on top of all the coal that we have. Which over time will be converted into oil once the technology catches up.

Except that congress would rather have American consumers give money to chavez then to open up Anwar.

I think the environmentalists wouldn't allow that, it is not very politically feasible as it can be damaging to the wilderness of Alaska, you might be drown in petroleum by an environmentalist even before Chavez can touch you.

Many former top geologists who have previously worked in Saudi but who have left say the official figures are far more than they actually have.

And here also former senior corporate planner for the National Iranian Oil Co.

Of the “Middle East Five” - that is Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates - Mr. Bakhtiari saw only about 355 billion barrels of oil reserves, half of the advertised 710 billion or so. Only in Iraq did Mr. Bakhtiari see anything close to the widely advertised figures of what is below those deserts.

Either way oil is a finite resource. The US needs to maximize the use of geothermal energy, ocean energy and wind power
