Hello all, I wanted to ask a question... See I had this idea to make a nice post about a charity I want to donate to. The problem is not that I do not want to donate as I do and have donated to Charity's before. However I started thinking if it was possible to get others to help me out. See basically every time someone subscribes to my blog the value for advertisers goes up. So I was wondering if I put out an ad stating that this is a charity I care about and I am willing to donate I don't know maybe 50 cents per person who signed up to my blog. Do you think people would sign up since its for a GOOD cause and my ultimate goal is to help the charity out while I help boost my advertising prices and eventually donate even more to charity? I wanted to ask about this before just doing it and see who and who would not sign up to such a thing.
What I do is have a free charity banner at the top of one of my sites. i hope that helps them at least somewhat
Yeah, My problem is I want something bigger, I dont see the need to donate just 5 - 10.00 here and there. I want to donate one lump sum to take care of everyone. But not sure how to raise the funds properly to do that, this was my only idea so far.

Unfortunately, domain have been taken and the owner don't know how to monetize the site yet.
Ah man. I think if I was interested in the subject your blog talks about then I would be more inclined to join but not necessarily post. I'm really not sure how much this will improve your sign ups but surely it's worth trying as you have nothing to lose as you will only be paying if you get sign ups... You will need some sort of reputation to ensure you will definately be giving to charity as well.
Of course, I give out now I just would like to build my own site up while I do that if possible. My site signups go up daily now by 2-4 signups, but id like to boost that into the 5-15 range per day! Well, I guess I will give it a try in a week or so. Thanks guys!
That sounds like one of the nicest ways to get subscribers that I've heard - it will definitely encourage people who read your blog already to go ahead and subscribe. You should consider having a specified time limit; i.e. "I'll donate $1 to charity for everyone who subscribes in the month of May!" and have a running tally on your site and an easy link so people can refer friends.
