i often hear people say things like, "bill gates donated xyz $ to charity, but his real agenda is publicity" "xyz movie star is adopting kids, just to create a good reputation" "abc created this trust just to improve his public image" here is my take on it.... as i show you the magic of charity marketing charity marketing is a simple concept, a concept that works wonders in the internet age, a concept that can take a small time company started in a garage to a multimillion dollar firm, charity marketing not only helps your business but it also helps the community...... which is why i love it charity marketing starts out by helping the community and then goes on to do wonders for your business(if done right) define charity.... for the purpose of this article i define charity as "helping those who need it" thats it simple steps involved in charity marketing 1) help people (for free) 2) get noticed now lets see some working examples (online) help share videos.....youtube help find information.....google help promote your talent.....youtube (now) help store more email.....gmail (1gb mailbox) help finding old friends.....orkut,myspace,.. help stay updated with fresh news..... programmers use it by offering free or opensource softwares designers offer free templates bloggers do it by posting articles and advice on forums charity marketing (helping others first) is a great way to jumpstart your marketing efforts, such "campains" tend to go viral and spread on their own, and offer tremendous exposure simply startout with a "free help to the community" angle now, before you jump to conclusions, remember that the marketing effect will only work if you "help those in need", if they dont "want it" then it wont work let me show you an example do you need another video upload site ? answer : no charity marketing score : 0 do you want an ebook about ppc ? answer : no charity marketing score : 0 do you want another flash/arcade site ? answer : no charity marketing score : 0 so.... find a problem solve it for free thats your marketing right there do you want internet marketing experiments ? do you want crazy brainstorming sessions ? do you want whaky internet marketing articles ? *charity marketing theory is a small part of "the piramid principle" if you folks like this one, i ll post the next one soon *many new internet startups are walking the charity marketing road and laughing their way to the bank
Sunny, I did some videos some time ago explaining how to automate a popular program more or less just to help people who visit my blog. The bizarre thing about it is the videos are still watched and referenced all the time judging but the pageviews in my stats. I never hear back from the folks who view the videos but it's good to know that 20 minutes of work on my part is still helping some folks. Take Care, JEL
