Hi guys. I know this site has been hyped up over the last few months or so, but I'm sure there's some people out that hasn't come across this. It's http://freerice.com, a site that donates (funded through adverts) grains of rice for every word you define correctly. I think this a remarkable idea, donation to poverty without needing to take out your wallet. This project has been confirmed by UN to be genuine. Check it out, and get a word or two correctly and do your part.
This webite is da bomb. I donated quite a bit of rice to those malnutritioned fly covered Ethiopian kids.
I did this previously but the amount of time we spend and the the amount of donations that go are not good at conversion. it is good when you have no other work to pass time. but instead i feel it is quite better to donate the money directly if you dont have enuf time.
This isn't meant to get you a lot of donation, but a group effort can create quite some difference (check out the donation page). Obviously, I don't spend three days in front of the computer to donate a kilogram of rice, but I do it when I'm at school and have nothing to do but surf the internet. Have donated quite some bowls in the past few months, myself.
