Do any DP directory owners offer charities a discount on link submission because of their charitable status?
I approved links for one charity that I suspected was scam. What sort of charities are you refering to?
Many businesses recognise charities as being different to commercial operations and offer discounts on their products/services. Having just taken on a client who is also a charity, I was trying to find out if any directory owners recognise the status and would be prepared to offer a discount. I suspect the answer is going to be no as all the research I've done so far suggests that directory owners don't differentiate their client base.
Some accept if it is legit. In my case a thorough review that includes, age of site, charity projects, number of projects launched and sometimes a phone call to multiple projects for referral and office location for verification purpose.
Are they a registered charitable organization? If so, send me the listing info as we may accept the listing free of charge depending on organization and its status.
All legitimate charities will need a registered number, if they do then its the right thing to do to give them a free not discounted listing it will not only make you feel good but help the charities.
Thanks to those who have offered a listing, I'll PM details over to you later on. It's a well-established UK charity but they have very limited budget for SEO. I'm working at cost on the project as I think it's (a) a worthy cause & (b) a tough SEO project which will be good to crack. I'll try to reciprocate the generosity in a suitable way when I can.
I would like to take look at the site first. You can PM the details to me if you dont want to go public.
if you visit my Web Directory and use the contact form and show the site. Depending on the organization and such you might be able to recieve a free regular link.
AllBuziness.com, a small business directory, offers a 25% discount on all listed prices. Simply PM me or use our Live Help to get started.
I'm more than happy to list charity websites in LinksQuitters web directory. PM me your info. Also, a group of us are starting up a Free Charity Directory that you're welcome to submit to.
Was a smart way to get some link coverage for your chosen charity deebee, all good though, gave you link in http://www.theorangepages.com/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Charities/ and made the category specially for you. @Creed, if you have a UK charity you want listed send me the details via p.m will sort that out free of charge no problem and regardless of what it is (within reason of course). To me the fact something is a charity in the UK usually means its doing good, taking money from them for a link is a poor show even if its discounted. FREE links for all charities, but I will check thier legitimacy as I did with deebees.
