I am thinking of working on a freelance basis building links for agencies who work for other businesses. basically the agency will outsource what is required for me (i.e we want to be on page one of google for this keyword).

my question is - how do you charge? by the hour? by the link? any help from experienced link builders is appreciated :)

You charge by how much value your service is going to offer to the business.

Go for it. Charge per project I recon.

There must be a reasonable market in the UK for this. I can't tell you how dissapointed I was with the response from agencies when I went looking for LB quotes.

I've got a decent bit of experience with link building, I personally beleive it's the cornerstone of a good SEO campaign.

Drop me a line if you're seriously thinking of setting something up. I'd be interested in discussing the idea.
