    Hey,

As a freelancer I have a question, if I am making a clients website that requires me to buy some copyrighted images then should I fit that in the total cost of the website or do I tell them that I need to charge them extra?

Well if you are putting a quote together and have been informed upfront of the exact number of images required, then it makes sense to add the cost of the images in with your initial quote. Stating any additional images required will be extra.

However if they are unsure of the number of images they require at this stage, I would give them your initial quote and inform them that the images will be addition extras, ( and state the cost per image, if you know how much you plan to charge).
