Thanks for reading my thread I am an author and I'm publishing my novel online (for people to be able to read for free). I am looking for some character illustrations so that I have some visual representation of the characters within the book. The novel itself is "urban fantasy" which means modern-era fantasy (set in 2006/2007) and I need an artist who can convey a grittier 'hip hop' kind of sensibility since the majority of the characters are either 'gangsta' or bikers. I am willing to consider different styles. My budget is not very large, but I really would like some unique designs. I will do my best to describe what I would like for each character and also provide photographs to give you an idea of the faces/styles/etc while still listening to your ideas as an artist.
