Chaos on U.S. Election Day--and After?

Voting machine malfunctions, scrambled registration rolls and riots by voters who feel that there were unfairly disenfrancised as a result. Demands for a recount if the results are close. These are some of the scenarios that might occur on Nov 4.

In other words, the 2008 election could like the "hanging chads" fiasco of 2000--or worse? What about it, forum members. Considering the likelihood of a very heavy voter turnout, do you think that the system will break down and threaten the legitimacy of the election?
