Channels

What are channels all about on Google Adsense? I tried doing a Google search but couldn't get anything concise. Could someone please explain?

It always convenient to ask here instead of doing a Google search. But getting expert at online search has its own reward.

Setting up channels is easy, its automatic when you create a new ad. They help to track your ads so you know what was clicked and what it payed. If you have a big site use Analytics to track adsense on each page.

 

Channels have been insanely helpful for me in determining which placements make more money (ie. more clicks)

 

there are 2 types of channels, one is URL channel and the other is ad channel. you can setup the channels to track your ads and to see which one of your URL or ad block is generating what type of impressions and clicks

 

I've started using Channels.. Let's see if these help..

 

Ad Channels are great for monitoring specific ads on individual pages, and URL channels are great for monitoring income generated from specific websites.

 

Through adsense channels you can judge that how your all ad blocks are performing individually. This will give you a clear idea about ad placement and color selection. Test with different placement and colors and pick the one with best results.
