Channel Trouble

    Hey all,

I got some trouble with my channels. On my site, I have AdSense on the header and on the right side. So, you'd say that if a visitor loads my page, he gets to see both ad units, right?
However, when I look at my channels I see that the header has been loaded 58 times, and the right column 48 times.
Does anyone have an idea why that is?
    Thanks in advance!

It's could be because the visitor leave before the page is fully loaded, i suppose

OR simply because sometimes, AdSense doesn't have enough ads to display in the second adsense block, which is the second in the HTML and so most probably the one on the right side.

Well, I've done some research today, and it's neither of those things. I added the ads to a page that was not linked-to, so no-one else could visit is. I also created separate channels for them. Then, I loaded the page myself 30 times, and waited until everything was fully loaded. Every time, I saw ads in both blocks.
However, when I checked the AdSense stats, it showed the header loading 30 times, and the right column only 24 times! So, it can't be one of the things mentioned above.
    Any other ideas?

Maybe you saw in the second block in the HTML what you thought were regular ads but could have been PUBLIC SERVICE ads, which doesn't give you money even if clicked, and so might not be counted as an impression.

What do you have? an alternative color, an alternative url? or simply let adsense display public ads when it has no paid ad to show?
