Changing your adwords account from one website to another?

    Hi all,

I created a campaign which I ran for 4 years until the company stopped trading. In the last year the adwords account has been dormant. I would like to use the account for a new client in the same industry, so would need to change the destination URL to the new website.

Do you think this would be frowned upon by Google? Or should I just start a new account and create new campaigns using the campaigns/adverts from the old account that worked well?

There's probably 25 phrases I'd like to keep for the new website and 50 adverts.

    Thanks!

Just start a new account. Google clearly states they want users to have one account per businesss. If your business changed you need another account for that. As an alternative you may want to contact some at Google and explain your situation.
