Google has expressly said that it can make a difference as to where your server is located in terms of its IP address. I recently acquired a new one from my dedicated server providers (1and1) that is located in the UK and not Germany. Does anyone know if this will impact the site negatively in the short term or will google simply see it as the same domain name and leave it alone. The hope is that being in the UK it will increase UK rankings ever so slightly. Your thoughts appreciated. Tim
It will be the same domain. The site will get better rankings in UK as time goes by. I'm talking about my own experience, just it wasn't Germany and UK, but another countries.
