Changing WP password in database

    How is this done?

    The lost password link on the login page doesn't seem to send a new password to my email.

    lol you never mentioned that you want a free advice

    Look for password field in database simple

    But be carefull as the passsword can be encrypted

    Just login to the Cpanel and click on PHPmyadmin and then

    1. select the database you have for WP
    2. when rows displays select the "user" to browse
    3. click on edit the row and change your password

    its easy... hope it helps

    Thanks for the help.

    I edited the user_pass for the user_login "admin" but that didnt work.

    Something I could be doing wrong?

    have you browse the row... "wp_user" ?? in that only you will find the admin

    Yes, in the wp_user table I edited the user_pass for the admin, but that didnt work.

    now as you can also rename the email id and then click on the forget password and see the email is sent out... or not because i think the password be in encrypt mode...
