    Changing Wordpress permalink structure, how to add .html in the end!?

    i want to add .html at the eand of each post's url i tried to edit permalink but it is showing an error.

    first i tried this

    /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%.html

    but is not working...anybody tell me what should be the actual work to edit permalink
